“Don’t just go to church!”

On Sept. 24, LPC did NOT go to church; instead they went out into the community to serve. Three missions were chosen : Northeast Regional Food Bank, a local  shelter and the animals affected by the hurricanes.  Congregants were given the opportunity to choose where they were called to serve. One group stayed at the church and made no-sew fleece blankets. These cuddly blankets were  given to the children residing at a local shelter. Another group went to the Regional Food Bank to sort items. The third group manned a bake sale at the Rotary Pet Fair. All proceeds were donated to benefit the animals affected by the hurricanes. Some people chose to participate by baking goods and/or donating fleece.
