January Missions

Last Sunday, our busy congregants stayed for a cup of soup and a cutting session. After collecting many, many plastic grocery bags, volunteers stayed Sunday to cut the bags into strips. These strips were then wound into balls like yarn. Those not completed were lovingly taken home to be cut and/or wound.  The balls are being taken to Colonie High School where student volunteers have been using the strips to create mats for the homeless.
