Instead of attending service today, LPC DID service. Congregants of LPC could be found serving others by working in the Northeast Regional Food Bank, doing yard work, making lunch for the homeless, making a meal for Ronald McDonald House and writing letters to urge US officials to get involved in returning the kidnapped Nigerian girls to their homes. Plans are being made for another group to give a party to a group of children in a homeless shelter.Check out the photos in the gallery.
There will be a potluck dinner on October 10 from 6pm to 9pm. Following the dinner, “In the Beginning”, a movie by Sight & Sound Theatre Presentation, will be shown. Come and join the fun!
On September 28, LPC will not open for worship! Instead, the congregation will be out in the community “being the church” Opportunities to serve, doing things like making a meal for Ronald McDonald House or working in the Pine Bush, will be presented this Sunday, 9/21, after the service during a coffee hour. Come, sign up and then the following work serve.
NEXT SUNDAY, 9/14, at 9:15, we will be celebrating again! This time we will celebrate a new year of SUNDAY SCHOOL. Rev. Elaine will open the year by taking the children in grades K-6 to Nazareth. Join her for Bible stories, games, crafts and lots of fun!
Can you think of a better way to start off September than celebrating a church family member’s 90th birthday?! That’s what we did here at LPC! A wonderful party was held for Joyce Theune after the service with all the party fixings: cupcakes, ice cream, and sherbet punch.
