Learn How to Create a Centerpiece

Liz Coyne has booked a class with Michele (Ambiance Floral), to create a centerpiece on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, at Ambiance store, 116 Everett Rd., Albany from 6 to 8:30.  A sign-up sheet will be in back of the church.  We need at least 10 people to hold the class, but no more than 15.  If the class is cancelled due to bad weather, we will reschedule.

Our Mitten Tree is Full!

We filled the tree and more!!! we collected hats, gloves and scarves to warm cold hands and share the warmth of friendship.  Many of these adorable items are handmade with loving care, and all were offered with prayers for those who will wear them!  We will offer them to St Catherine’s families in Albany and to the Martin Luther King Jr Magnet School in Schenectady.

A Thank You Note from Dave Culbert

Thank you for the Care Box.  These last 2 weeks have been busier than any other semester that I can remember.  I just wanted to thank everyone for their contributions to the box of goodies I got last week!  It came in at the perfect time and the snacks are what I’ve been living off of lately haha.
It means a lot to know that you’re in someone’s thoughts and I really appreciate the love and effort.
Hope all is well with everyone at LPC!  Please share my sentiments with everyone, I am truly grateful.  Best wishes, Dave Culbert

Recent Thank You Notes

Thank you for your generous donation of $294.17 from you Souper Bowl of Caring, to the Regional Food Bank.  We are very grateful for your support.  Your assistance is especially meaningful in these difficult times.  The Food Bank is working hard every day to provide food assistance to our member agencies because need is so great.  In 2013, we will distribute over 29 million pounds of food (enough for 24 million meals).  Mark Quandt, Executive Director, Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York.

I want to pass along my gratitude once again for your generous gifts to the Christmas Joy Offering totaling $119 last year.  Because of your generous gifts, the Presbyterian Mission Agency was able to help provide brighter educational opportunities for students at historically Presbyterian racial ethnic schools and colleges, a longstanding tradition of the church.  Gifts to the offerings also support the Assistance Program of the Board of Pensions, a fund that stands in the gap to assist retired church leaders and their survivors in difficult times. Sam Locke, Director Special Offerings, Presbyterian Mission.

Ornament Exchange Breakfast December 22

We invite you to eat a wonderful pancake breakfast around the tables in the Pine Room at 9am.  After a hot breakfast we sit in a circle and exchange the Christmas Tree ornaments we bring in (wrapped or in a small bag with your name attached).  They can be homemade or store bought.  These ornaments become treasured reminders of church friends.

Christmas Caroling – December 15th

We will make full day of Christmas Cheer on December 15th!  After we enjoy a celebration following the Pageant we will head off to sing Christmas Songs and Carols to our church family and friends who look forward to this visit all year!  You do not have to sing well to join us!  Your smile and presence means so much!  So Pageant, Pizza, Sing!
