Donate Materials to Habitat for Humanity and put your faith into action.

Shelter from rain, wind and sun is a basic human need. Habitat for Humanity provides decent, affordable houses to families in need. Habitat homeowners gain self-respect as they work alongside volunteers to construct their own homes.

The Habitat ReStore is a home improvement resale store. We take donations of new and gently used building materials such as cabinets, windows, doors, lighting, appliances, lumber, electrical & plumbing. Items are then sold to the public at our store with all proceeds going to support the important work of Habitat in this community. Capital District Habitat for Humanity is looking for donations for their ReStore. The benefits of this program include:
-Donations that are tax deductible
-Pick-ups for your convenience
-Reduction of materials entering our landfills
-Home improvements accessible to people of all income levels
-Assisting Habitat build more homes

To donate, to volunteer, or for any other information on how you can help call 275-6638. Store hours are Tuesday and Wednesday 10-5, Thursday 10:00am - 7:00pm and Fridays and Saturdays 10:00am - 5:00pm. The store is located at 454 N. Pearl St in Albany NY

Our Prayers of Joy and Concern:

For Moms, sisters, Grandmas, Aunts, neighbors, teachers and friends who nurture and support us each day. And we give thanks for Moms who provided a model of Christian living who have now gone on before us into God's household.

We give thanks for all those who have the commitment and courage to become new citizens of the United States!

For John G now at Fort Hood, TX, we pray for him and for all who serve our nation in the armed forces, the police and emergency responders. Especially we pray for our troops and personnel serving in Afghanistan in this critical time. Nick is joining the army and will be headed to boot camp in October.

We pray for all who are battling cancer, for Grace who has bladder cancer, for Jeff and Al, and for Carolyn Jean who is holding her own. We pray for Doreen's brother that he continues to respond to treatment.

We give thanks with Elsie's cousin that her grandson is recovering well from his accident. With Liz we continue to pray for Tyler as he appraoches his surgery.

We continue to pray with our Bethany friends for Dorothy and her family. We pray with Mary for her sister with advanced Alzheimer's.

We pray for every student who goes to school apprehensive or even frightened of bullies and we pray for a young boy injured in a bullying attack. We pray that our eyes wil be open and we will be ready to step up for these chidlren. And, we pray for people who use words and the imternet and their physical strength to injure others.

We are mindful of those whose financial and work situation are difficult, and those facing foreclosure and the possibility of losing their homes. We pray for families who struggle with new relationships and new pressures. And we pray for those who are lost under the weight of sorrow, depression or anxiety. We pray for peace for the friends and family of Dot's friend Sally who passed away.

For the jobless, for the job seekers, and the underemployed, we pray for change. For the hungry and those who do not know peace. For families who are separated by distance of heart or geography.

For our Sunday School, for our brothers and sisters in Shared Ministry, and for our neighbors that there may be peace. For all God's people gathered through times of transition and change.
