LPC has been very busy this spring….

After delivering Easter baskets of food to 8 families and kids’s baskets to children at Schuyler Inn Shelter we started our collection for Undie Sunday. This year, we collected 119 pairs of socks, 24 women’s tees, camisoles and bras, and 215 pairs of women’s and children’s underwear the Equinox Domestic Violence Shelter in Albany.  Way to go!! In between there, we had 16 walkers walk the CROP Hunger Walk in Albany raising $1000.

We were very pleased to have with us, Debbie Fagans, one of the founders of Wizard’s Wardrobe, which offers tutoring to  elementary students  in downtown Albany. She updated us on the progress of the mission and their need for tutors. We are proud to have one of our own as a tutor. We, also, have an ongoing collection of 100 piece puzzles and books for the program.

Several of the other ongoing collections that we have at this time are:

Collection of prescription medicine bottles for a medical mission to Guatemala (Please pull of the labels.)

Board books for Mary’s Corner

Smartphones and cell phones for The Rotary
